SCHOLARSHIP

 

Deserving students may apply in the prescribed from available in the college office for the following scholarships and stipends:-

NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

 

The National scholarship is awarded to the poor and exceptionally meritorious students on the basis of their results of H.S.C and CHSE Examinations, and the annual income of the parents of such candidates must be below Rs. 53,000/-

NATIONAL LOAN SCHOLARSHIP

 

Students securing 50% marks in their previous examinations are eligible to apply for such scholarship.

Senior Merit Scholarship:-

 

The Senior Merit Scholarship is awarded to the students of +3 degree classes so the basis of the result of their annual CHSE Examination of the State.

Post-Matric Scholarship:-

 

Students belonging to the Scheduled Cast and Scheduled Tribe communities may apply for Post-Matric Scholarship.

National Science Talent Scholarship:-

 

It is awarded on the basis of the competitive Examination held on the first Sunday of each calendar year. The value of the scholarship is Rs. 100/- per month.

Stipends to the Children of Freedom Fighters

 

These stipends are awards at Post-Matric stage to the deserving students who are the children of Freedom Fighters; prescribed forms for the scholarship are available in the office of the D.H.E. Odisha. The applications are to be made through the principal of the college after the publication of results of the Annual HSE, CHSE and +3 Degree and other equivalent examinations.

Educational Concession to the children of Army Personal in Active Service:-

 

The concession is given to the children and dependents of Army Personnel who are in active service. It is given in the form of exemption form tuition fee.

Educational Concession to the children of Ex- Serviceman:-

 

The concession by way of Book Grant is awarded to the children of Ex-serviceman both at the +2 & +3 Degree stage.

Teacher’s Children Scholarship:-

 

It is awarded to the children of primary and secondary school teachers whose aggregate mark is atleast 50% in the H.S.E Examination.

Orthopedically Handicapped Scholarship:-

a) State Government:

 

This scholarship is awarded to the Orthopedically Handicapped students who have pased the Annual HSC Examination or the Annual Higher Secondary school certificate examination. The applicant should be within 30 years of age and he/she should have secured at least 40% of marks in the above examinations. The value of the scholarship is Rs. 30/- per month.

b) Government of India:-

 

This scholarship is meant for the blind, deaf and Orthopedically Handicapped students for their general and professional course. The value of the scholarship is Rs. 40/- per month. The applicant should be a citizen of India and his age should be within 14-30 years. This scholarship is awarded for continuance of studies from +2 to P.G. Level (Excluding research course leading Ph.D Medical & Engineering) The candidates should have secured at least 40% of marks in the previous Annual Examination.

 

Hindi Scholarship

 

The students of non-hindi speaking states like Odisha are eligible to apply for Hindi Scholarship provided they have secured 50% or more marks in M.I.L. (Hindi) in the HSE and CHSE examinations. All such applications are available with the DHE, Odisha. The students can apply through the Principal latest by 31st August every year.

Financial Assistance to Students:-

 

There are two types of financial assistance available to the students to the college, namely free-studentship and financial assistance from the Social Service Guild. Free studentship to the extent of 12.5% of the total strength of the students on the rolls excluding SC, ST and girls students, are given eigher in the form of exemption from payment of all or half tuition fees. The Principal invites applications from students for both free studenthip and SSG assistance usually in the month of August. Applications may be required to appear at an interview for the purpose. Merit and poverty are the criteaia for the award of free studentship. Financial assistance is also available from the Students’ Aid Fund (SAF)
